Let's discuss your Green Beauty routine, shall we?

I just wanted to take this moment to see how you're doing with your green beauty routine.  I know for most individuals, it can be a real  daunting task to source safer products since they are not always readily available in stores.  Luckily, I was pleased with the Miessence range so that served as an awesome source for me and still does but other items remain  a challenge to source in stores.  And hence the birth of this blog post.  I'm here to share with you  this wonderful source which serves as a one stop shop for the finest organic and natural beauty products.  And it's none other than Amazon. Yep! That's right!  Now you've got no excuses for greening your beauty routine:) I have spoken to friends that weren't even aware of this and thought that Amazon was a source for ONLY reading materials. And obviously,  this isn't the case! The best part: It's a totally safe shopping experience. And no more driving to the stores in search of that specific brand of shampoo or lipstick.
To look up a specific brand, simply use the drop down menu in the attached widget, pictured above. You may also use the search function by typing in the appropriate key words and you'll be presented with an array of product options. This is all is takes to be a little greener. Going green doesn't have to be complicated! Baby steps will eventually get you there:)

Here are some of my favorite products that can be sourced on Amazon:
As you may have heard, commercial nail polishes should be avoided. And why is this? Simply because of these 3 toxic chemicals or culprits as I like to refer to them.  The chemicals we’re talking about are Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde and Toluene. And me being such a nail fanatic, there's no way I'm going to forego painting my nails because of these chemicals. So what are the safer options available? Here's how you can continue to enjoy painting your nails without compromising your health.
Green and Healthy Nail Polish Choices:
1. Opt for a range  such as Zoya  that's free of the above mentioned chemicals. It comes in a variety of vibrant  and pastel shades so there's bound to be a color for you. The staying power is awesome, lasting  for up to a week. Yes, that's right! Even after doing the dishes and hand laundering, it stays put!  Browse around the many beauty blogs and you'll see the praises this range receives. I say, Zoya has been formulated to make a gal happy!
2. Sula's Paint and Peel is  another awesome  non-toxic water-based polish that will knock your socks off. It's safe, effective and no cleaning is required hence no need for nail polish remover. It's budget friendly in that sense and ideal for gals on the go. Simply peel away and you're ready for your next manicure. This product totally rocks!
3. Suncoat is also a terrific water-based formula that comes in a variety of shades. My favorite being Apple Green and Pink Passion.
For more non-toxic nail polish options, you may want to check out the following brands: Honeybee Gardens and Aquarella
4. For a safe and effective Polish Remover, you might want to try the Suncoat's or Acquarella Formulas. They are both formulated for removing water based polishes.

So, can you see how many possibilities they are? Just look at how many chemicals you can avoid just by being informed.
If you're a mineral makeup addict like myself, then I'm sure you also enjoy stocking up on makeup brushes.  Here's how I've been brushing up my act.  Recently, I've decided to invest in these sustainable  brushes because I truly care about our environment and planet.  They feel  awesome on the skin -- not scratchy like some of those synthetic ones. This set is just perfect for mineral makeup application. And to get that sun-kissed glow, this bronzer one will be just perfect. Here's another great set for you eye shadows addicts. Enclosed are 6 gorgeous brushes for your eye shadow application needs.

Personally, I find that investing in multi-functional products goes a long way. For healthy rosy looking cheeks,  opt for a product like Freedom Glow Beauty Balm by Revolution Organics.  This all-in-one-stick is bound to  cover your beauty needs by adding a splash of color to your eyes, works as a glow and blush. What more can a gal ask for, right?  According to amazon's website, it's 100% natural and created with 85% certified organic ingredients, this beauty multi-tasker delivers an instant healthy glow anytime, anywhere. The all-in-one balm infuses lips, cheeks, eyes, and décolletage with a natural, dewy radiance. Perfectly portable and ideal for on the go, the easy-to-use formula provides skincare and color in one for a hydrating hint of tint. Free of chemicals, synthetics, and artificial ingredients, the balm contains only 100% pure, natural and organic ingredients. Formulated with cold-pressed organic olive oil and deeply moisturizing organic coconut oil. The All-Over Beauty Balm comes in three glowing shades to complement any skin tone.

There are also some other faves of mind, such as products by 100% Pure and Aubrey Organics. I say It's beautiful being green.  I'm happy to do my part for our beautiful planet and also reducing my exposure to the array of toxic chemicals laden in commercial beauty products. Have you tried a green beauty product recently that you're super impressed with? Please leave me a comment. I'd love to hear about it. I'm always on the hunt for testing out new products. And hey, feel free to forward this post if you feel it would help someone. Remember, sharing is caring:)

I tried products from Bubble and Bee (based in Utah), and they are organic, 100% natural, and FABULOUS! You should definitely check them out. I did a review on myblog, too.
