Save our landfills starting this Christmas

Give Natural! Give Organic! Give the Greenest products this year and save our landfills. It's that simple!

It may be exciting to receive presents that are decorated in eye catching wrappers and ribbons but the fact is, these are all assigned to our landfills.  Frightening, isn't it? Here are some statistics that will make you re-think this practice.

Did you know that 38,000 miles of ribbons are thrown out annually? That's enough to tie a ribbon bow around planet earth.  During the Thanksgiving and Christmas season, 25% of trash including shredded wrapping paper, gift bags and more are headed for our landfills. And approximately 2.65 billion Christmas cards are sold annually -- some of which will also be discarded and headed for the trash.  Here's your chance to start taking action and what better time that the Holidays?  This can definitely be the beginning of a new family trend -- raising such positive awareness which will ultimately impact our Planet in the most positive way.

With just simple planning we can correct the above.  There are numerous sites that offer free e-card services which allows you to send cards to your loved ones which in my opinion is so much easier than running to the store. You can do this right in the comfort of your own home. And for the most ecological way to shower your loved ones with presents is none other that a simple e-certificate from a company that is Certified Organic, fair-trade and green. A definite gift to our environment!

The Miessence gift e-certificates are available in denominations of $25, $50, $100, $150 and $200 and are sent directly to the person you choose. You are presented with the option to  include a personalized  message and a colorful e-catalogue, if desired. The choice is yours!

This exempts you from  standing in long line ups,  snail moving traffic and trying to allocate a parking space.

Have an enjoyable Green Christmas:)
